By: Jenny Lange

If you have already used Nikon D3000, you will be interested in the popular Nikon D3100 due to its new advanced features, such as full 1080HD video, live video and video recording. But if you haven't used D3100 yet or even any DSLR camera, you should consider Nikon D3100 as your first DSLR camera. Why? This following Nikon D3100 review will inform you about its features, its advantages and disadvantages, and suggestion at the end.

Nikon D3100 Review - Highlight Features

I begin my Nikon D3100 review with some important features that D3100 Nikon offers as the following:
  • ISO from 100 to 3200 (6400 and 12800 expandable)
  • Nikon's EXPEED 2 image processor
  • Continuous drive up to 3 fps
  • Active D-Lighting
  • Automatic chromatic aberration correction
  • 14.2-megapixel Nikon DX format CMOS sensor
  • Airflow control system and Sensor cleaning

The most features I like are EXPEED 2, full 1080HD video and a wider ISO sensitivity range. The D3100 Nikon camera is a lightweight camera, so that I can take it everywhere I go. Moreover, it is an easy-to-use camera. Even if you don't know how to use it, you can select Guide Mode, that helps you how to modify the camera setting.

Nikon D3100 Review - Advantages and Disadvantages

Let me tell you the advantages of D3100 Nikon.
  • Due to high ISO range, this camera has lower noise
  • The D3100 is small, light and quiet as well
  • Full 1080HD video
  • Awesome image quality because of EXPEED 2
  • Great megapixels (14.2)
  • Easy to use

On the other side, D3100 Nikon has some disadvantages. But I think, they are not big issues for the users.
  • Without bracketing mode
  • Not capable with some types of lens, for example: 50mm 1.8 lens
  • No wireless remote
  • Without grid lines

Nikon D3100 Review - Suggestion

After reading my Nikon D3100 review, I hope you can make decision better, whether D3100 Nikon meets your requirements or not. In my opinion, this camera is very suitable for people who are new in photography, amateur photographers or anyone who wants to experience his first DSLR camera.

I love photography and traveling. However, I prefer capturing landscape than people. If you still need more information about D3100 Nikon camera, you can check it out on my website: Nikon D3100 Review. You can check the price as well by visiting Nikon D3100 Price.
